I oppose the use of hitting as punishment in school, because hitting is never appropriate in any circumstance.
Hitting children in school as a form of punishment is cruel, and only teaches them that authority can inflict pain. It also teaches them that it is acceptable to hit, so that when they become adults, they hit other people.
No EueChosenI do not think that children should be hit in school as a punishment since the teachers' jobs are to teach and not to parent.
I believe that physical discipline is a personal choice that should be made by parents, not schools. Teachers and other school employees have no business hitting children when the sole purpose of their institution is learning.
