  • I wholeheartedly agree, because illegal immigrants are some of the hardest working people in the country.

    I think that illegal immigrants are some of the hardest working people in the country. They have often risked their lives to come to this country, work the most demeaning jobs for little pay and, often, live in squalor. If they have the perseverance it takes to get into college, I want them to have all of the help they need.

  • Illegal immigrants should not receive financial aid of any kind, as they are in the United States illegally and they should be deported.

    Illegal immigrants should not be in the United States at all, let alone receive financial aid funded by American taxpayers. Governor Brown's proposal is all the more preposterous, as California is facing a major budget crisis. Illegal immigrants should not receive any money, but especially in this time when legal citizens are suffering from budget cuts.
