Discoveries that have been made in the last 50 years continue to advance our knowledge about our own planet, as well as the moon, the solar system, and other galaxies. Science is the foundation of all life, and the more knowledge and understanding we can have of our origins, the more well-informed people can be.
At the rate that humans are exhausting the available resources here on Earth, we need to start exploring what else space holds. The only way to do that is to provide adequate funding for space exploration. We cannot afford to wait until it is too late and we run out of resources here.
Eventually, mankind will be forced to populate other planets. Even if we put some kind of laws in place to regulate population growth, the resources of this planet will run out, in time. To continue as a species, we need to fund space programs and exhaust the potential of their findings.
The U.S. has been known for its innovations when it comes to space exploration. In order to keep this standing, we really do need to focus on more funding for space exploration. The technology is always increasing, and new developments need to be sought out. The only way to do this is through increased funding.
The earth like every being on this planet has a biological clock as well as only a certain amount of resources available for it's creatures. If humanity took the time to explore other planets in our solar system, we can perhaps use resources from other terrestrial planets which are of abundance in space. Instead of wasting our resources, wasting millions of dollars on so called rare minerals. We can abolish the money issue by having an abundance of minerals from planet cracking. There would be resources for all of us without having to have governments control them with avarice for profit.
Space can help us discover many things, for instance on another planet, there could be something that can cure diseases or help with technological advancement. So yes space can solve many things that, on earth, would be impossible . Just think if the European's had that attitude, we might still be using candle's and dying from the common cold.
The need to explore his surroundings has been an important drive for mankind since the beginning of time. With most of the world now known to scientists, the avenue for the urge to explore is now space. We must continue the search for life outside our planet and to understand our universe. This can only be achieved through a vigorously pursued space exploration program.
Humans have always wondered about space and their origin. The scientific exploration of space allows a greater understanding of the universe and its beginnings. It might also be possible to discover new life or exploit mineral resources that can be used for our benefit. One of the greatest dangers to life on Earth (besides our self) is the collision with an asteroid. Space exploration can help understand their movements and perhaps allow us to avoid a devastating hit.
Humanity cant keep to Earth forever, it needs to expand beyond our own world if at all possible. In this we can survive to the point where we have the options in a dire circumstance. Funding is going to be necessary to make this happen, and if it can, we can learn a lot.
Space exploration is vital for learning more about our universe and discovering new technologies to make the planet we live on better. Many new technologies that have trickled down to everyday life came from space exploration, and maybe there are more answers in space as to how we can make our planet cleaner and greener. I also think space exploration can be inspiring. Who doesn't love to hear and see the new things that NASA has discovered, and think of all the amazing things that exist beyond our realm?
Funding space exploration is a waste of money when there are so many issues plaguing the planet. People die from hunger and curable diseases every single day. We are destroying our lands at an alarming rate. These issues need to be addressed before we consider leaving the planet. Finding sustainable sources of energy and ending war and famine are of far greater importance than space exploration which has no promise to benefit mankind.
We have yet to find a habitable planet, so we should put that money to good use improving the one we already have. Our own environment should come first.
Space exploration is extremely expensive. And, considering the fact that many Americans are without health care, our tax dollars can be better spent on immediate concerns. Additionally, in the U.S., our infrastructure is at risk due to neglect, which occurred while space exploration was a higher priority.
Apart from funding programs to monitor asteroid activity, I think the space program is largely unnecessary. The government should be concerned with economic recovery and national security. Poverty and terrorism are actual dangers. Figuring out weather or not there is life on Mars is relatively trivial at this time in history.
How can anyone justify putting money into space education when most people on earth can't afford to pay their bills. There are jobs being cut everyday, the country is broke. Not to mention the fact that there are things in our oceans that we know nothing about!
We have problems here to deal with, like trying to live sustainable lives. What will going to space do for us? Absolutely nothing! Our origins? We were born on this planet, which is where we belong, how will going to space do anything for us? And what if the earth is destroyed? Then well all die, we had a good run and the universe will continue to expand with or without us, were not important to the universe! Why do people want to make sure humans last forever? All things come to an end and some day we will too, and there’s nothing to be done about it so there’s no reason to worry, people need to learn to live in the moment and appreciate the fact that they are even alive.
Space exploration has no real benefits, especially if the focus is searching for alien life forms. We waste countless billions of dollars annually to collect meaningless data that results in no tangible benefits. It is a pure waste of taxpayer money and resources.
I totally disagree that we need to put more focus on providing funding for space exploration because I believe that there is so much left in the earth to be done rather than spending in the space exploration. There are so many social problems in the world like poverty, unemployment, medical diseases, sanitation, food and safe drinking water which is yet to be solved. So it is suggested that the people should utilize this amount for eliminating this social problem rather than funding for space exploration.
Space exploration is extremely expensive and many of the pursuits of space exploration do not provide a very beneficial use of the money. Searching for signs of life, signs of water, and other types of exploration and space travel intended to boost national pride are not beneficial uses of the vast amounts of money used to fund this these space trips. The money would be much better used doing research and for the development of projects on earth that directly benefit people.
