they are paid way way way to much money.i know they play sports and all but come on they make millions when people who work really hard for there money barley have enough to get by.
YesShould there be a ban on television advertisements aimed at children?
Yes, because children do not have the skills to critique ads.
It has been shown that very young children who have watched TV have positive reactions to brand images, like McDonald's. This is very frightening. Children cannot yet evaluate ads, and they cannot protect themselves from the very sophisticated methods of manipulation that TV ads use. The government should ban ads targeted at young children, because this is in the best interest of the kids, themselves, and of our country.
YesShould the government intervene with the free market and save failing businesses?
Sometimes governmental aid to a big business that is struggling is necessary in order to save the economy.
The government stepping in to help the large banks in 2008, and helping the struggling automakers, was necessary. It would have caused terrible problems for the economy if they were allowed to fail. There were a few mistakes but, essentially, the government helped out, then got out of the way, and let the companies run themselves. It was the least evil option available.
